Trail Descriptions
Bike Course
The bike course takes athletes from Shekou Sea World along Wang Hai Lu and the Shenzhen Bay Park Promanade.
Competitors following the Mini Trail will turn back just before Shenzhen Bay Bridge and follow the same course back to Sea World.
The Challenge Trail athletes will continue along the Shenzhen Bay cycle path until the small bridge just before Shenzhen Bay Sports Stadium. From here, they turn back and follow the same course back to Sea World.
Some of the road surfaces may be rough and athletes should use durable tires. Athletes on road bikes should be aware of the numerous pot holes.
Run Course
The run course is flat and leads athletes through the city streets to the entrance of the Nanshan Mountain Park.
The Mini Trail will loop around Sea World and finish at the base on NanShan Mountain by the Ming Wah Conference Centre.
The Challenge Trail will snake through the streets of Shekou to the base of NanShan Mountain at Lilin Park.
Athletes will experience paved, city streets surfaces on the run.
Hike Course
The hike will take the participants on a ‘must-do’ trail in Shekou. It is one of the most popular mountains in Shenzhen due to its picturesque green trails and spectacular views overlooking the ocean.
The Mini trail will take athletes up the paved road from the Ming Wah Conference Centre to the top and back down the same road.
The Challenge trail will take athletes up the long steep winding path from Lilin park to the top of the Mountain, across the ridge and down the steps finishing at The Ming Wah Conference centre.
From the Ming Wah Conference Centre all athletes will run or walk directly to Sea World to cross the finish line, and enjoy a well-deserved lunch and drink at McCawley’s.
